Electra is keen to work with you! We are currently redeveloping our systems to provide new APIs to exchange data with people and other systems automatically.
We are already exchanging data with electricity retailers and the Electricity Authority using the industry standard Electricity information exchange protocols (EIEP).

EIEP
We receive customer data from the retailers once a month. This data includes names, phone numbers, email address, and postal address*. If any of these change you need to notify your retailer for us be updated with the new information. We use this data for our automated phone system and for reporting power outages.
* None of this personally identifiable information is available through our public APIs and is only used internally within the Electra Group to provide the subscribed services.APIs
We have APIs that you can use to fetch data from our systems. These APIs are public and free to use without needing to sign up. If you have any questions about these APIs, data you would like us to make available, or issues you have found, please email developer@electra.co.nz.
